Make something here.
Sadharana's spaces are available to artists, musicians, writers, and facilitators who need room to work, and who have something to offer in return.
What this is
We are not a residency programme in the conventional sense. There is no panel, no jury, no grant. What we offer is space, physical and temporal, to people whose work we believe in.
In return, we ask for presence. A workshop shared with the community. A performance in the clearing. A conversation over a meal. Something that leaves a trace.
The exchange is not transactional. It is relational. We are looking for people who understand the difference.
What we offer
Space at Vanantara
Time in the forest, to write, compose, rehearse, or simply think. The structures at Vanantara are available for short residencies of one to four weeks.
The Clearing
An open-air performance and gathering space. Available for concerts, screenings, readings, and workshops for the Sadharana community and invited guests.
The Kitchen
For those who work with food as a medium: fermentation, foraging, communal cooking as practice. The kitchen is a creative space too.
Community
Access to the Sadharana Collective, a network of people who will engage seriously with your work, offer feedback, and show up.
Who we are looking for
We work with musicians, visual artists, writers, poets, dancers, facilitators, chefs, and makers of all kinds. What matters is not the discipline: it is the quality of attention you bring to your work, and your willingness to share it.
People mid-process, not finished, not just beginning. Those who need time and space to go deeper.
People who work with presence, who understand that making is a practice, not a product.
People who are genuinely curious about the community they are entering, not just looking for a quiet room.
Propose something
Tell us what you are making.
We read every proposal carefully. We are not looking for a CV: we are looking for a sense of what you are working on, why you need space, and what you might offer in return.
